Vintage Bond Dealers Insert Displays

Bond Flashlight Flyer

I came across this 1929 Bond Dealers Insert out of a 1930 L.H. Smith Woodenware Company catalog. The insert has a effected date of April 1st 1929 printed on the right top corner. Would have shown better if the displays were in color. I took a lot photos and this is the best I could come up with. Maybe time for a newer camera!

You'll notice on the right side bar the 2 headed flashlight and the switchless flashlight with the stand that look just like the Yale flashlights. What's interesting is, I have never seen these two flashlights with the Bond logo on'em. Also a nice display with the switchless flashlights below, (the ones that sell for 69 cents). Most of us know that Bond bought out Yale in 1928. Hope you enjoy.

Switchless Info

The switchless flashlight display on the left has 10 flashlights, (the 69 cent flashlights) 5 with the nickle finish and 5 with the black finish. No vulcanite ribbed body. I have the black vulcanite ribbed body with the Bond logo and Yale name on the end. I have never seen the black finish model. These have the Bond logo'em. So maybe Bond never made/sold any with the ribbed cases under their name, and went to the black finish model instead.

This display shows three selling points. 1) Candlelight: Can be used as a Candlelight, making this flashlight a two purpose light. 2) Fiber Case: Which helps to prevent dents to the body and a better grip. 3) Shock Absorbers: By adding this to the end cap and under the bulb, helps prevent the bulb from breaking.
