Atlas Flashlights

First off - These are NOS, which makes this find even better. From my research on Atlas products, the colors are from the 40's or 50's, maybe they didn't change much. I'm thinking the USALite flashlights are more 40's than 50's by looking at the endcap to the right. Then again, I show two other endcaps at the end of the page, all three endcaps are different, and makes this confusing on the year. I think I need to do a little more research here, or find some advertishing or a catalog to be sure. Either way, that means Atlas sold a line of USALite flashlights that would have been in auto stores and gas stations selling Atlas products.

First time seeing USALite flashlights in Atlas boxes, and first time seeing the Atlas flashlight boxes. You'll also see the USALite red-head with Atlas on the name plate in the red-head section. So we do know that Atlas is connected to USALite.

So now we have - Gamble's auto stores selling USALite flashlights. We also have Best and Marathon flashlights connected to USALite. Those two flashlight are in another gallery. The Gamble's connection shows USALite flashlights in their catalog in the USALite Ads section. They don't show any end caps, so we don't know what's printed on'em. What's next to show up?

In the first photo below, you'll see another safety flare flashlight with the redhead. No stand on this one, has a different body style, and a different plastic redhead. Notice the lines on the body start at the switch going down. The switch looks the same as some of the other redheads with the hard plastic heads. Batteries load in the top. One collector I showed the red flare flashlight to, called it - a step child of the redheads. All flashlights have USALite printed on the end cap, but not Atlas.
